This blog gets a large amount of traffic from people searching terms like “telenetwork scam” or “is telenetwork legit?” I am here to tell you that teleNetwork is a legitimate company and they are not a scam. How do I know? Well, for one thing, I am a member of several work at home forums such as WAHM.com and WorkPlaceLikeHome.com and there have been people hired at teleNetwork from both of these websites. Secondly, I have done a lot of research on the company and it is 100% legitimate. I have also contacted them to ask if they do indeed hire at home workers and they assured me that they do.

I think much of the skepticism comes from the fact that teleNetwork requires a lot of technical knowledge that many other work at home companies do not. You must realize that this is because teleNetwork is very professional technical company and you would be providing help desk technical support if you were hired. These requirements are fair and if they did not have them, the quality of their service would go down very quickly. NOT A SCAM!

This place is awful to work at… there is no respect to employees! They will hire anybody because there is constantly people quiting and getting fired. I worked there for 3 months and had to quit because of the stress this job put on me. No… its not a scam but it will be the worst job you have ever had. And as for getting your “monthly” raises…. Don’t count on it. They will do anything and everything to keep you at 8/hr as long as you work there.

Hi Anthony! I appreciate your feedback on this job opportunity. As I have stated in my about me page, I do list jobs that may not be your dream job and in some cases, are just not that great. The main thing to remember is that sometimes you have to take a bad job to get the experience you need to get another job with better pay or a better work environment.

Well, I will add to the comment that Anthony made by the fact that their job postings are misleading then if what he’s said is true. They state that they pay start you somewhere between $8 and $15 based on experience. …but it sounds like the $8/hr is the highest they’d go.

The job postings from TeleNetwork also say *both* of the following: that the job is entry level, yet call center experience is required.

This is not helpful at all, and things such as this may make it seem like a scam. I understand the idea of taking a bad job to get a better job, but I’m trying to get out of a bad job *now* and don’t want to go into a worse job.

I’ve already worked for a scammer once and would rather not deal with it again.

Thank you for your comment. I just wanted to mention a few things. First of all, “entry level” does not mean “no experience necessary”. It means that you have had 0-2 years of experience in a particular job field. Secondly, I don’t know where you’ve seen a promise of $8-15 per hour but I would venture to say that the higher pay would only be for someone who’s had years of experience in this field and a very good track record with the company.

I have worked for telenetwork for over 7 years and I can tell you that it is a good company to work for. I have health insurance, a retirement plan, and I make well over 8 an hour.

You will most likely start at $8 no matter what experience you have because you will start as a level 1 tech. As you get more experience and take different types of calls, you WILL get raises. Tech support is not for everyone and there is some stress involved, so it may not work out, but don’t be scared off because someone did not like their job.

I WORKED AT TNI (TELENETWORK) OFF AND ON FOR 6 YEARS. IT IS A STABLE JOB BUT YOU HAVE TO PERFORM BASED ON A SCALE TO GET RAISES. IT REALLY DEPENDS ON YOUR TEAM LEADER. THEY START YOU ALL OFF AT 8 AN HOUR BUT THERE ARE CHANCES TO GET AS HIGH AS 11 BEFORE IT STARTS GETTING POLITICAL. IF YOU ARE IN A HURT FOR MONEY AND CAN POWERCYCLE A MODEM GO AHEAD AND APPLY. BUT BEWARE IT TAKES A YEAR FOR BENEFITS AND IF YOU ARE ANYTHING SHORT OF THE TIMEFRAME THAT THEY NEED YOU WILL NOT GET THEM. ENJOY.

I worked for TNI (TeleNetwork Inc) for about 6 months.

Yes, they’re real. But you’ll wish you hadn’t. It’s political at $8/hr. It’s run by a bunch of college kids who do nothing but look for excuses to screw with each other and start drama.

The training material is crap, you’re better off not doing it. Most was written by someone who has no clue how Windows/IP Networks function.

If you just cannot find any other job, sure. It’s something. But get out as fast as you can. There is no such thing as too paranoid there, some IS out to get you and ruin your good name; even at $8/hr.

Doing your actual job is almost a forgotten detail in all the posturing and ego-tripping.

It’s pathetic. No rational, mature adult would work there one second longer than they absolutely had to.

My immediate supervisor was awesome. But the higher-ups are complete crap. If they all got hit by a bus, I’d have a kegger on the ‘accident’ site every year; and I don’t even drink!

Listen to Anthony. He sounds like he’s really worked there. I doubt the other people leaving comments have.

There are benefits; if you’re in upper management. The most important seems to be picking fights with anyone below you.

If you want a real job with sane adults, don’t work there. Bunch of over-privileged brats who just want someone to crap on to make themselves feel better. It’s really sad.

Frankly, you’d do better panhandling or just getting welfare or selling crack. They’re just plain abusive. I have more respect for rapists.

I work for teleNetwork. I have worked there for 3 weeks. I make $8/hr, but for an experienced technician it’s pretty decent, since I work from home. All of my higher ups are good people and I have seen no instances of the so-called “drama” that some people want to say happens there.

I know I am new and don’t have much experience, but the people there really are nice, the training materials arent that bad, and noone I work with has had any problems during their tenures either.

The people here bagging teleNetwork are probably people who have no clue how to work technology, or a call center. They have no idea how to troubleshoot anything, and thats obvious, because working on the scale that they require to get certain raises isn’t hard, AT ALL, and I’ve been there only three weeks.

teleNetwork is a great company to work for , especially if you are under 30, and need to get experience in the technical field doing support. It’s also great for experienced techs like myself, because it isnt hard to learn, the job is easy, and it is NOT stressful. THis is the least stressful job I have ever had, because being a call center at home is so much easier than being at the beck and call of someone in person in some random IT department.

Plus the people from New England that we train on are usually pretty easy to help and get along with.

If anything changes, I will surely post it here, but I don’t see this place ever getting as bad as some of the apparent firees or non-hackers say it is.
